Every HipTrain session is live, 1-on-1 and on video, but what you do in that session is up to you. These pages cover the training styles our coaches teach, who each one suits, what a session looks like and a sample week, so you can pick a starting point before you are matched with a coach.
You do not have to choose just one. Many members mix strength work with mobility, or start with low-impact sessions and build up. Your coach watches you on camera, adjusts each exercise to your body and your space, and changes the plan as you get stronger. You keep the same coach every session, and you can switch coaches any time if it is not a fit.
How to choose a style
- Want to get stronger or lose weight? Start with strength training or training for weight loss.
- Coming back after a break, or have stiff joints? Try low-impact training or mobility and flexibility.
- Worried about falls? Balance training pairs well with our balance exercises guide.
- Prefer a calmer session? Book private Pilates or private yoga.
If you have a health condition, are pregnant or postpartum, or have not exercised in a long time, check with your doctor before you start. HipTrain coaches are certified personal trainers, not doctors or physical therapists, and they will work within what your provider recommends.
