What HipTrain is

HipTrain is live 1-on-1 personal training over video. You book a time, your coach joins the call, watches your form and adjusts every exercise as you go. It is a real person, in real time: not recorded classes, and not coaching by text message alone. You keep the same coach every session, and if it is not a fit, we rematch you.

You can train from your living room, the office or the road, on the web, iPhone or Android. No gym and no equipment needed. If you have equipment, your coach builds it in.

How it works

  1. Tell us your goals. A two-minute questionnaire about your goals, preferences, any injuries and the days that work for you.
  2. Meet your coach. We match you with a vetted coach who fits your goals and your calendar. Sign-up to first session can happen in under a day.
  3. Train live. Your first session is free with no credit card. After that, pick a plan and book sessions that fit your week. Reschedule anytime in the app, and chat with your coach between sessions.

Our coaches

Every HipTrain coach is certified, interviewed and hand-vetted before joining, and members rate their sessions so quality stays high. Many of our coaches have thousands of live sessions behind them. A few of them, with their session counts as shown on our homepage in October 2026:

Paying with HSA or FSA

HipTrain works with Truemed so members who qualify can be reimbursed from their HSA or FSA. you pay for HipTrain with a regular card (not your HSA or FSA card), take Truemed's private health survey the same day, and a licensed provider reviews it. If you are eligible, you get a Letter of Medical Necessity in 1 to 2 days, then submit your purchase to your HSA or FSA for reimbursement. Truemed says claims are usually paid in 2 to 4 weeks. HipTrain does not issue the letter itself or bill insurance, approval is never guaranteed, and you should check your plan. How HSA / FSA works with HipTrain.

What we do not do

We want you to choose with clear eyes. HipTrain does not offer in-person sessions, nutrition or dietitian coaching, insurance billing, or a big on-demand workout library. Our coaches are certified personal trainers, not doctors or physical therapists. If you have a health condition or are recovering from surgery, check with your doctor before you start.
