Full disclosure: HipTrain wrote this guide, and we compete with Future. So yes, we're biased. To keep it useful, every Future price below comes from Future's own website, its help center or its ads, with links at the end. Reviews online list several different Future prices because the company has changed them over time, so we've dated everything to October 2026.

The short answer

As of October 2026, Future Pro costs $199 a month. The first month is $50 on Future's website, and some Future ads since October 8, 2026 offer it for $29. Prepaying lowers the monthly price to $179 (3 months, $537), $169 (6 months, $1,014) or $149 (12 months, $1,788). Future also sells newer health-coaching plans, labeled beta: Core at $129 a month and Premium at $399 a month. Future offers a 30-day full refund and accepts HSA / FSA dollars through Truemed.

What Future Pro includes

Future Pro is the company's main personal training product. Future describes it as "Personal training, reimagined." You're matched with a coach who builds your workouts. You do them on your own in the Future app, and your coach checks in, monitors your progress and keeps you accountable through messages. The app has an exercise library with video demos and form guidance.

What Future Pro does not include is live, coached workout sessions. Your coach isn't on video with you while you train. That's the main thing to understand about the price: you're paying for programming, accountability and messaging, not for live time with a trainer.

What Future's health coaching includes

In 2026 Future added a second product line, health coaching, which its GLP-1 page labels beta with "Get Early Access" buttons. It covers more than workouts.

  • Core, $129 a month: a personal fitness, nutrition and sleep plan, weekly check-ins by text, a monthly 30-minute progress-review call, a baseline DEXA body scan, and a weekly review of your food log.
  • Premium, $399 a month: everything in Core, plus daily check-ins, weekly 1:1 progress-review video calls, bloodwork covering 80+ biomarkers, quarterly body scans, and a quarterly session with a registered dietitian, plus a supplement plan.

Future's site shows a "Build it separately $950+" comparison against $129 a month. That figure adds up one-time and monthly items, like a DEXA scan, bloodwork and a dietitian visit, and the page says the pricing is illustrative. The progress calls on Core and Premium review how you're doing. They aren't live workouts either.

Ways to pay less for Future

  • Look for a first-month offer. $50 is the standard offer on future.co. Some ads that started October 8, 2026 show $29 for the first month, then $199.
  • Prepay. Committing to 12 months brings the monthly price to $149, but you pay $1,788 at once.
  • Use HSA / FSA dollars. Future accepts HSA / FSA payments through its partner Truemed. Future's blog says members save an average of 30% this way. That's Future's figure, and your savings depend on your tax bracket and plan.
  • Use the refund window. Future says you can cancel within 30 days for a full refund.

Is Future worth the money?

It depends on what you need. Future has a long track record and a 4.87 rating from 10,720 ratings on the US App Store, and Garage Gym Reviews names it "Best Overall" in its online personal trainer roundup. If you're comfortable working out alone and mainly want a plan plus someone checking in by text, Future does that well.

If what you want is a coach watching you during the workout, Future isn't built for that, at any tier. In that case, compare what you pay per live session elsewhere.

How Future's price compares

ServiceHow it worksPrice
Future ProApp workouts plus coach messaging$199/mo ($149 to $179 prepaid)
Future health coachingPlans, text check-ins, progress calls, labs (beta)$129 or $399/mo
TrainwellApp workouts plus messaging, video messages and calls$149/mo, billed every 3 months
Caliber Premium1:1 coach, async video check-ins, callsFrom about $200/mo (per Garage Gym Reviews)
HipTrain (us)Live 1-on-1 video sessions with the same coach$59.49 to $179.99/mo for 30-min sessions (about $14 each)

HipTrain is live training, so the comparison isn't apples to apples. But the math is simple: one live 30-minute session a week with HipTrain is $59.49 a month, and three a week is $179.99, still under Future Pro's $199. Our HipTrain vs Future page goes deeper, and Future alternatives covers other options. For a wider view of prices, see online personal trainer cost.

Where HipTrain isn't the right fit: you have to show up at a booked time, on camera. We don't offer nutrition plans, labs or body scans, and we have far fewer reviews (29 App Store ratings).
